Rotary Club of Chennai Kilpauk Strengthens Public Healthcare with Inauguration of Four New Dialysis Machines

Chennai, 30 June 2026: Reinforcing its commitment to accessible and affordable healthcare, the Rotary Club of Chennai Kilpauk today inaugurated four additional dialysis machines at the Rotary Kilpauk Dialysis Centre located at the Government Hospital, Saidapet. The occasion also marked the initiation of the Rotary Blood Bank, further strengthening critical healthcare services for the community.

The event was graced by Thiru. Arul Prakasam M., Hon’ble Member of Legislative Assembly, Saidapet, as the Chief Guest, and Rtn. AKS. Er. Murugananandam M. (MMM), RI Vice President 2026–27 and RI Director 2025–27, as the Guest of Honour. Also present were Rtn. AKS. Vinod Saraogi, District Governor RID 3234Rtn. D. Suresh Jain, District Governor 2026–27Rtn. AKS. Dr. Vijaya Bharathi Rangarajan, District Governor 2027–28, along with senior Rotary members, healthcare professionals and dignitaries.

The addition of the four dialysis machines will significantly enhance the centre’s capacity to serve patients requiring regular life-saving dialysis treatment, reducing waiting times and enabling many more economically disadvantaged patients to access quality healthcare. The newly initiated Rotary Blood Bank is expected to further support emergency medical care by ensuring timely availability of blood for those in need.

Addressing the gathering, Thiru. Arul Prakasam M.reflected on his personal journey, sharing that he too was born in a government hospital. He remarked that government hospitals today have witnessed remarkable improvements through the combined efforts of the government and service organisations such as Rotary. Appreciating Rotary for consistently enhancing public healthcare infrastructure and providing quality basic amenities, he noted that such initiatives have transformed countless lives.

Speaking on the occasion, Rtn. AKS. Er. Murugananandam M. (MMM) lauded the Rotary Club of Chennai Kilpauk for its exemplary service to society. He highlighted that initiatives such as the expansion of the dialysis centre and the launch of the Rotary Blood Bank are invaluable for underprivileged patients who depend on affordable medical care. He remarked that these projects truly embody Rotary’s vision of “Creating Lasting Impact”, ensuring that quality healthcare reaches those who need it the most.

With these new additions, the Rotary Club of Chennai Kilpauk continues to play a pivotal role in strengthening public healthcare infrastructure, reaffirming its commitment to improving lives through sustainable, community-focused initiatives.
